The Bricks-n-Books Project is an alternative secondary education program dedicated to providing at-risk youth with an opportunity to earn a GED or high school diploma while learning a skilled trade or profession that is valuable in their communities. Through collaborative partnerships with local organizations, the project provides participants with a wide variety of educational, career, and personal development resources. These resources allow participants to gain confidence, learn new skills, and develop the foundation for success that will give them an advantage when they apply for entrance to apprenticeship programs or post-secondary education courses, start businesses, or pursue other opportunities not currently available to them. |
In addition, participants provide their communities with valuable skills that improve the lives of others through their work in vocational training projects. Through these efforts and our partnerships with existing community-based organizations already providing various social services, the National Bricks-n-Books Project , Inc. seeks to be part of any community’s overall efforts to serve the needs of at-risk youth and improve overall socio-economic conditions.
