A collaboration with Bricks-n-Books Project is about

Leveraging Resources to Create Opportunities.

The formation of collaborative partnerships within local communities is a process that begins first with the opening of a dialog that ultimately leads to working relationships operating under the direction of a Steering Committee (the “Committee”). The Committee is where each collaborative partner will have a say in shaping the direction of the partnerships. One of the objectives of this Committee is the creation of Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) between each partner that spells out the roles and responsibilities of all partners, as well as establishes what produces and/or services that each partner brings to the collaboration.

As illustrated in the Partnership Matrix above, a collaborative partnership with Bricks-n-Books Project honors each partners autonomy while insuring greater integration of resources. Members of the collaboration are committed only for the duration and fulfillment of a specfic program/task and, at no time are they required to cease the performance of any existing program(s) in order to participate in a program that is secured by the collaboration.

Collaboration is a mutually beneficial and well-defined relationship entered into by two or more organizations to achieve common goals.
