According to the Alliance for Excellent Education"every school day, about 7,000 students drop out of high school. That's approximately 1.2 million students who leave school each year for good - without getting their diploma."  Responding to this growing national concern, National Bricks-n-Books Project in dedicated to searching for and promoting funding opportunities that will support its efforts to serve the needs of this growing segment of our population.

The following represents just some of the sources and programs that offer National Bricks-n-Books Project opportunities for program funding
Grant Opportunities

Each year, public and private funding sources offer access to literally billions of dollars in grant funds with a focus on economic development, education, employment and workforce investment initiatives. One of the unique features of the Bricks-n-Books Project is its ability to seamlessly fit into and, therefore, support each of these initiatives.

National Bricks-n-Books Project maintains a constant search effort for new grants and other funding opportunities.  Many foundations and federal and state government organizations that support missions like ours will be sought.  In most cases, because National Bricks-n-Books is a subscriber to granting organization, we receive automatic email-notifications about new grant opportunities whenever they become available.

National Bricks-n-Books Project Fund-raising Programs

Identified in the right column are funding programs that have been developed and are being promoted by National Bricks-n-Books. Each of these programs are designed to appeal to persons and local organizations interested in supporting at-risk youth at the local level.

Program Sustainment

Structured as part of our program offerings is a program self-sustainment feature, which includes the Bricks-n-Books Labor Pool. This pool is setup as an administrative mechanism through which program participants can be hired temporarily or permanent by outside organizations or organizations (e.g., Settlers West) working with National Bricks-n-Books on certain projects. In addition to job placement, another purpose of the Labor Pool is to create an additional stream of income that can sustain the program going forward.
